A recent news article at CrossFeed speaks of a museum taking political sides to “prove” that homosexuality is completely natural. Many animals demonstrate homosexual behavior, so it must be good and natural, just like murder, eating your children, and stealing. Oh, wait…. 🙁

Yes, there’s no question that animals exhibit homosexual behavior. Is that right? Well, animals aren’t under the same law as humans, so I don’t know, but I’d be willing to bet that those behaviors didn’t exist before the fall in Genesis 3.

What those who try to disprove Christianity by science usually fail to realize is that the world as it is now was not its original design. It was once “good” (God’s definition), but it has since been corrupted by sin, and those effects reached farther than just human behavior.

Before the fall, nothing “with the breath of life” (i.e. takes in oxygen and expels carbon dioxide) died. Period. All animals were herbivores, people included. After the fall, enter death.

But in the first-ever death, God showed His plan for creation. Who killed the first animal? God. (Genesis 3:21) “Yahweh God made coats of skins for Adam and for his wife, and clothed them.” Skins are taken from dead animals. God provided the sacrifice, killed the sacrifice, and clothed Adam and Eve with the sacrifice. For us, God provided Jesus Christ, killed the sacrifice, and clothed us with the sacrifice. (Galatians 3:27) “For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.”

We live in a fallen world. But we also have the sure and certain hope of the resurrection to eternal life in a new creation. Amen, come, Lord Jesus!
